2024 - 2025: Match Results
This past weekend was filled with thrilling volleyball action for Birkirkara Volleyball Club (BKVC). On Saturday, the BKVC Reds faced a formidable challenge against Paola VC. Despite their best efforts, the Reds were unable to secure a victory, with Paola clinching the match in three straight sets. The Birkirkara girls fought hard throughout the contest, showcasing their determination, particularly in the third and final set, where they pushed their opponents to the limit.
Sunday brought even more excitement as BKVC fielded four teams across three matches. The U15 team, known as the BKVC Dynamites, faced off against the strong Swieqi Phoenix. The girls in red started strong, clinching the first set, but Swieqi quickly found their rhythm and went on to win the next three sets, ultimately taking the match 3-1.
Later in the day, the Birkirkara Club hosted an intra-club derby at 11 AM, featuring Coach Dalton's ThunderSpikes going head-to-head with Coach Stefan's Storms. The match was a thrilling encounter, with both teams displaying impressive skills and teamwork. In the end, Coach Dalton's side emerged victorious, adding another highlight to the weekend.
Finally, at 5 PM, the Super League team took to the court against Falcons VC in what turned out to be an exhilarating match. Both teams gave their all, and the intensity on the court was palpable. The drama escalated with some questionable referee decisions, which added an extra layer of excitement to the game.
